InTouch, the vendor Ithaca Public Schools uses for digital payment processing is partnering with PAX to bring new ways to pay! With this change brings a new calculated processing fee.
The new system allows us to continue to accept payments online, but will expand our options to being able to pay by credit, debit, or contactless payment methods as well.
The current fee is $0.50 + 3% for all online transactions. The new fee for online transactions (beginning in the next few days) will be $0.40 + 3.99% for all online transactions. In person digital payments will only incur a flat fee of $0.75 per transaction. We have tested this new technology at some of our spring sporting events and plan to make this option available at all sporting events in the 24-25 school year (GoFan, which is a different card processor, is still required to be used at all MHSAA playoff games).
Cash and check payments will not incur any fees as this only applies to digital forms of payment. We are excited to bring these options to our school district!
